Ask for the proposed board outline, power requirements and interface documentation. Request an identification reference for the board so that the documents and any sample can be matched to the same version.
Validation planning
State which functions your project needs to evaluate and request the corresponding test information. Agree the documents needed for the host integration review before selecting a board for sample assessment.
Control the board version
Ask the supplier to identify the board version in every drawing and sample reference. Mark any difference between the proposed outline or connection arrangement and your host design. Have the integration reviewer assess the changes before selecting the board sample and retain the relevant document versions with the proposed assembly record.
