Mounting context
Provide a drawing or photograph of the intended position and the surrounding equipment. Mark any space or handling restrictions that the proposal needs to address.
Proposed antenna file
Ask which antenna and connection arrangement are included with the buoy proposal. Request the installation dimensions and instructions for those exact components.
Review questions
Ask your project reviewer to compare the proposed installation requirements with the mounting sketch. Record unresolved cable, connection or mounting points and request clarification before selecting the equipment arrangement.
Check the antenna component list
Compare the proposed antenna, mounting parts and connection items with the written equipment list. Ask which installation documents apply to each item. If the mounting position or supplied components change, request an updated arrangement drawing and have your reviewer assess the changes against the original deployment and handling requirements.
Provide the mounting location as a review input
Prepare photographs or a sketch of the location where the buyer intends to place the buoy and any antenna arrangement proposed with it. Identify the gear or vessel arrangement concerned and include measurements your installer has taken. Ask the supplier which installation information is needed to assess that location for the exact equipment offered. Keep the location as a proposal for review rather than assuming it is suitable. Do not transfer an installation drawing from another buoy without confirming that the document describes the configuration in the current quotation.
Ask the supplier to identify the antenna and mounting components included in its proposal, where applicable, and request the relevant installation instructions. Distinguish components supplied with the buoy from any equipment the buyer is expected to provide. If a connection or attachment is proposed, ask for its documentation and have the responsible reviewer compare it with the intended mounting sketch. Avoid filling gaps with general antenna advice. Questions about physical installation should be resolved using the applicable equipment documents and the actual arrangement assessed by the installer.
Describe the handling routine around deployment, retrieval and storage so the reviewer can assess the proposed arrangement in that context. Ask which instructions apply to those actions and what access the operator would need. If the supplier suggests relocating equipment or changing a mounting component, request an updated diagram and explanation of the affected requirements. Keep any proposed performance assessment separate from the installation description. Ask for the conditions and configuration relevant to an assessment rather than treating an antenna description as a statement about operating distance in the buyer's location.
For the purchasing file, retain the mounting sketch, component list and document references reviewed by the installer. Ask for clarification of differences between the quotation and the illustrated arrangement. Identify any location or connection question that remains open before selecting the proposal. If the mounting location or equipment changes, return the affected parts of the brief for another response. Give the operator the final handling instructions associated with the selected arrangement and keep the installation approval specific to that configuration, without extending it to other mounting locations or buoy proposals by name alone.
If photographs show several possible mounting points, mark the particular point proposed for review and identify the associated equipment. Ask the installer to compare the supplier's drawing with that marked location. Retain any proposed relocation as a separate option until it is assessed, so the final quotation and installation discussion refer to the same physical arrangement selected by the buyer.
