Communication brief
Identify who needs to communicate, where the equipment is intended to be used and the existing radio arrangement. Describe the calling tasks you want the proposal to address.
Destination requirements
Provide the intended destination and the channel or frequency requirements supplied by your project reviewer. Ask for the proposed radio's corresponding documentation so that the purchasing review uses the actual equipment information.
Configuration and operation
Request a list of supplied components, installation information and operating instructions. Ask the reviewer to compare the proposed controls and calling functions with the communication tasks in your brief.
Record the radio configuration
Ask for the proposed radio's equipment identity and the accessories included with it. Compare that list with the intended communication tasks and the installation brief. If a different radio version is offered during discussion, request its own operating documents and have your reviewer check the unanswered channel and calling questions again.
