Information need
Describe when the operator needs position information and the conditions in which it will be reviewed. Provide your required update pattern as a project request rather than assuming a setting.
Settings documentation
Ask for the proposed buoy's transmission settings document, available choices and configuration method. Request clarification on which settings apply to the particular version being offered.
Review with the system
Identify the receiving arrangement and request the corresponding information for review. Keep the selected setting discussion with the power and operating documents so the project reviewer can assess the proposed setup together.
Document the requested settings
Keep the requested update pattern and the proposed setting choices in the same review record. Ask the supplier to identify which document explains configuration and which explains the equipment's operating conditions. If the chosen setting changes, have your reviewer check the related power and deployment questions against the updated proposal.
Describe the information timing your operation needs
Explain the operational task behind the buyer's question about transmission timing. Identify when the crew needs to consult location information and describe the intended deployment and retrieval routine. Ask the supplier to explain the timing behaviour of the proposed buoy configuration using its applicable documentation. Keep the buyer's requested timing separate from any response about the equipment. Do not copy a setting from a different proposal or assume that a category description establishes which timing choices are available on the particular buoy the supplier is offering.
Request clarification of what any proposed interval description refers to and which conditions or settings accompany it. Ask whether the response describes the buoy configuration being quoted and how the operator would review the relevant information in the supplied instructions. If the buyer expects a setting to be changed, ask for the instructions, responsibilities and equipment involved in that task. Leave the change as an open question until the proposal addresses it. Keep the receiving arrangement identified so the operator can distinguish a question about transmission from a question about what is displayed.
Ask for the assumptions behind any operating duration information supplied with a timing proposal. Provide the buyer's own planned operating pattern and request a response where it differs from those assumptions. Keep power related questions with the documentation for the exact configuration under discussion, without transferring figures from another buoy. For a proposed demonstration, define what your reviewer wants to observe and identify the settings used. Record the observed arrangement and conditions so a result from that review remains connected to the proposal instead of becoming a general timing promise.
At quotation comparison, place the timing response beside the buyer's operation brief and mark unresolved questions. Ask the supplier to identify changes if it proposes a different buoy configuration or different settings. Retain the final description and applicable instructions for the person responsible for operation and maintenance. If the deployment routine or receiving arrangement changes, return the timing question for review. Keep the purchasing decision specific to the documented response and buyer requirements; do not treat the mere presence of a timing term in a title as confirmation that the requested behaviour is included.
Ask the operator to explain what decision they intend to make from the information received during the planned routine. Retain that task description with the timing enquiry. If the supplier offers an alternative configuration, compare its documented timing response against that same task rather than accepting a familiar interval label as a complete answer to the buyer's operating requirement.
